Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, the most controversial Indian cricketer enters the ground of the most controversial television show Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss turns 12 years old with its premiere launch on Sunday. The exciting new twists and turns in the show escalate as Salman Khan announces the contestants. The theme of this season is ‘Vichitra Jodi’ where celebrities and commoners will enter the house in pairs.
Flaring with many tags such as Maverick, Eccentric and Temperamental, attached to the cricketer, Sreesanth hails from God’s own country – Kerala. He started off his career as a leg-spinner but was later converted into a fast bowler. The Challenger Trophy in 2005 gave Sreesanth the fame and recognition that he had been long anticipating. The cricketer achieved many appreciations during his career only to be stabbed under a controversial plot twist.
Sreesanth faced a heated criticism in the Indian Premier League in 2008 as he got involved in a feud with Harbhajan Singh, who slapped him at the end of the match. The biggest toll that took over his cricket career was when his name popped along with two other Rajasthan Royals players arrested in May 2013, for the alleged fulfilling of promises made to bookmakers in the IPL. In September, the BCCI’s disciplinary committee found him guilty of spot-fixing and banned him for life.
