TV czarina Ekta Kapoor has been blessed with a baby boy through surrogacy on January 27. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the little munchkin is absolutely healthy and will be home soon.
The baby boy has been named Ravie, after her father Jeetendra's real name. "By God's grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby's birth has made me," she wrote on Instagram.
The producer said she had been trying for a baby for the past seven years. "Everything in life doesn't go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today, I feel immensely blessed to become a parent," Ekta said.
"It is an emotional moment for me and my family and I can't wait to begin this new journey of being a mother to my little bundle of joy, Ravie Kapoor," she added.
It seems that Ekta has taken some serious inspiration from her brother Tusshar Kapoor, who also had his son Laksshya through surrogacy almost three years ago.
Several times, Ekta has spoken about not wanting to get married but was open to being a mother after Laksshya was born. She keeps on sharing happy and fun pictures with her nephew on her Instagram page. When she was asked how he life changes after Laksshya, she had told Hindustan Times, "My life has changed. If there's anything that's most important in my life [now], then that's Laksshya. Every day, he does something new and we all look forward to that. I miss him every time I'm travelling on work. You know, the lakshya (target) of my life now is to look after Laksshya."
On the professional front, Ekta is busy these days with the reboot version of popular TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay besides producing other TV shows such as Naagin season 3, Dil Hi Toh Hai and Qayamat Ki Raat. This year, she has four Bollywood production ventures lined up for release. Her projects include Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao's Mental Hai Kya, Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra's Jabariya Jodi, Bhumi Pednekar and Konkona Sen Sharma's Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare and Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha's Dream Girl.
