India’s funniest man has made people laugh with this amazing comic timing and silly jokes. There's a saying, ''making someone cry is easy but to make someone laugh is very difficult'' (our small screen heroines are doing a wonderful job in making the viewers cry, no pun intended).
Kapil Sharma has proved that dreams do come true. The witty man from Amritsar came to Mumbai in 2006 to try his luck in the realm of television comedy. He auditioned for popular reality show Great Indian Laughter Challenge but was unsuccessful in the first attempt.
Kapil’s never give up attitude has helped him become a leading star today. The very same man who couldn’t secure a place in the first season of a show emerged victorious in his second attempt.
People simply loved Sharma’s Punjabi flavour which he added in his jokes as police inspector Shamsher Singh. The comedian took home the winners' trophy of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.
Kapil was never a one show wonder. After dabbling in comedy with the above Star One show, he participated in Sony Tv’s popular show Comedy Circus.
The man with a midas touch won six seasons of the comedy show judged by Archana Puran Singh. Kapil created magic every time he performed on the stage of the show, which earned him the tag of 'Undisputed King of Comedy'.
The year 2013 proved to be a monumental one for Kapil Sharma as he hosted dance reality show Jhalak Dikh Laja. Sharma’s chemistry with another host Manish Paul left the audience in splits and helped the show garner blockbuster TRP ratings.

Kapil Sharma recently returned to the telly land with his new game show Family Time With Kapil Sharma. The Sony Entertainment Television show is expected the set the TRP charts on fire, just like his previous shows.
