Kavi Kumar Azad famously known as Dr. Hansraaj Hathi in 'Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chasma' (TMKOC) Tv serial on Monday died due to a massive cardiac arrest at Miraroad Wockhardt Hospital. Azad was unwell and admitted to Wokhardt Hospital at Mira Road.
'Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chasma' producer Asit Kumar Modi announced the sad news of Dr Hathi's demise due to the massive cardia arrest.
“We are very sad to inform loss of our senior actor Kavi Kumar Azaad. He was playing the character of Dr Hathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma. We lost him to a massive cardiac arrest today morning. He was an amazing actor and a very positive person," Modi said in a statement.
The show producer said that Azad called him on Monday morning to inform that he was no well and would not be able to come for the shoot.
"He truly Loved the show and always came for the shoot even if he was not feeling well. He called today morning that he is not well and will not be able to come for shoot. And later we got the news that he passed away. We are all too numb to say anything,” he added.
Apart from making people laugh with his comic acts in TMKOC, Azad had also worked in several Bollywood movies including Amir Khan's Mela and Fantoosh.
