After a lot of speculations, it has been finally confirmed that TV actor Karan Patel will soon bid adieu to Star Plus’ popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The actor, who has been playing the role of Raman Bhalla since 2013, will next be seen in Khatron Ke Khildai 10. Confirming the news of leaving YHM, Karan told TOI, "All good things come to an end and so does Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The show will always remain close to my heart and I am thankful to Ekta Kapoor for giving me Raman Bhalla."
Karan Patel's team also released a statement and confirmed his exit from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. It reads, "Yes, Karan is moving onto participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi. We tried to work out our dates to accomodate many commitments but because it did not seem possible, we have chosen to end a very memorable journey of Yeh Hain Mohabbatein. The serial gave him so much love and care, for which he will be forvever grateful.’’
The statement further read, "We are ever so grateful to Ekta Kapoor and the entire team who have always shown Karan so much love and support, allowing him to grow beyond the show to take on new work commitments. We would like to duly mention that had it not been for Yeh Hain Mohabbatein a lot that has come our way including Khatron would not have happened. I urge you to continue loving and adoring Karan the way you have all this while. It’s a tough show we have up against us with Khatron Ke Khiladi. Make him win and let’s cheer him on...and for all you know post it all, we may soon enough see you at the movies."
Karan Patel will reportedly be replaced by actor Chaitanya Choudhry as Raman. Chaitanya was last seen in Dil Hi Toh Hai in a negative role. Karan will leave for the shoot of KKK10 in Bulgaria in the month of August. Reportedly, the actor has prepped hard for the show, and worked hard on building his strength.
Apart from Karan, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein also features Divyanka Tripathi, Anita Hassanandani, Aly Goni, Aditi Bhatia among several others.
