Bollywood actors and Bigg Boss ex-contestants Ashmit Patel and Maheck Chahal who got engaged in 2017 in Spain are no longer together. The couple, who was planning to get married soon, has parted ways. According to reports, the couple were having issues with each other in the last few months and and decided to push their wedding. However, looks like the differences were irreconsolable they have now called it quits. Both the celebs have confirmed their break-up.
Maheck opened up about the same and said that she left Ashmit and walked out on the relationship. She admitted to the split and said, "I left Ashmit. I had to take that step and walk out."
Talking about the same, Ashmit told ETimes, "It’s true that we are no longer together. I would request privacy on this matter, and would not like to comment." According to a source, the couple was planning a destination wedding but several issues cropped up which led to their split.
According to reports, the couple were planning a destination wedding a year later. However compatibility issues cropped up and so, they decided to push the wedding. "Things gradually deteriorated, and a few months ago, they finally parted ways," the source said.
The two celebrities got engaged in Spain last year and Ashmit even shared a picture on Instagram. Mahek while talking to Pinkvilla had earlier said that they will tie the knot after their apartment gets renovated in the next four-five months. Unfortunately, there marraige got delayed and now it has been called off. Ashmit told the online portal that the marriage may happen in August or September.
Interestingly, Ashmit and Maheck have known each other for over a decade now and have been in a relationship for several years now. The two even participated together in Power Couple. They have been absent from limelight for long now.
Ashmit is known for films like Murder, Silsilay, Dil Diya Hai, Jai Ho, and Nirdosh. Ashmit and Maheck also did a film together.
Maheck is a Norwegian actress of Indian origin who has appeared in several Bollywood films including Nayee Padosan, Wanted and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna. She has also appeared in Punjabi, Bengali and Kannada and Tamil films.
