TV czarina Ekta Kapoor was blessed with a baby boy through surrogacy on January 27. She named her son Ravie, after her father Jeetendra's real name. "By God's grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby's birth has made me," she wrote on Instagram.
Now, on Monday, Ekta hosted a naming ceremony for her little munchkin at her Mumbai residence, and in attendance were the who’s who of the film and television industry. Ekta Kapoor’s parents Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor were spotted outside the venue dressed in traditional outfits. Tusshar Kapoor and his son Laksshya were also snapped at the ceremony. Ekta’s close friend Karan Johar and his mother Hiroo Johar also graced the occasion with their presence.
Abhishek Bachchan came along with his sister Shweta Bachchan to shower blessings on her baby boy. Union Minister Smriti Irani also reached Ekta Kapoor’s residence for the naming ceremony. Several other celebrities including Farah Khan, Shamita Shetty, Urvashi Dholakia, Divya Dutta, Rahul Bose, Mona Singh, Mouni Roy, Parth Samathan, Erica Fernandez, Krystle D'Souza, Pragya Yadav, Sakshi Tanwar and Shabir Ahluwalia and his wife Kanchi Kaul were part of the function.

On the professional front, Ekta is busy these days with the reboot version of popular TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay beside producing other TV shows such as Naagin season 3, Dil Hi Toh Hai and Qayamat Ki Raat. This year, she has four Bollywood production ventures lined up for release. Her projects include Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao's Mental Hai Kya, Parineeti Chopra, and Sidharth Malhotra's Jabariya Jodi, Bhumi Pednekar and Konkona Sen Sharma's Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare and Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha's Dream Girl. Â
