Babita Tade, a cook from Amravati, became the second contestant of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 11 to win the prize money of Rs 1 crore. Babita revealed that she cooks food for children in government school, for which she gets a salary of Rs. 1,500. She won Rs 1 crore by answering the question which was:
Which poet in the court of Mughal ruler Bahadur Shah Zafar wrote the 'Dastan - e- Gadhar a personal account of the 1857 revolt?
A. Mir Taqi Mir
B. Mohammad Ibrahim Zauq
C. Zahir Dehlvi
D. Abu Al-Kasim Firdausi
Babita, who wasn't quite sure about the answer, used her final lifeline and sought the expert's help and she emerged victorious.
The final question for the night was: "Which of these states has had the most number of its governors become presidents of India?" Babita, who wasn’t quite sure about the answer, decided to quit the game. However, when Big B asked her to guess the right answer, Ms. Tade said, "Bihar," which was in fact the right answer.
Post her winning moment, Babita revealed that she had read about the 1 crore question. In an interview with TOI, she said “The question asked for 1 crore win was very tough. It was old and I couldn’t recollect the answer. I had one lifeline left and had to use it. With its help, I won 1cr.”
Babita also revealed that her interest was in current affairs and used to follow them. She tells, ''I have never used a phone or a computer but I was aware of current affairs. I knew I could do this. But never thought I will come this far.''
