'Naagin' star Mouni Roy to play a villain in Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer 'Brahmastra'

Mouni Roy, who is known for her famous television commercial 'Naagin', is set to make her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Gold’. Set against the backdrop of post-independence era, ‘Gold’ showcases India’s first gold medal win after Independence.

While, ‘Gold’ is slated to hit screens on August 15, Mouni Roy has bagged yet another Bollywood project in her kitty.

Yes! If latest media reports turn out to be true, the ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Ja’ fame will be featured in Ayan Mukherjee’s next Super Hero film ‘Brahmastra’.

Earlier titled Dragon, the fantasy drama trilogy features Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles. Meanwhile, the movie marks the first joint venture of B-town biggy Alia and Ranbir.

The shooting of 'Brahmastra' is scheduled to commence in February 2018. Both Ranbir and Alia have already started their training in movement and scene design.

Also starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan in key role, the Ayan Mukherjee directorial is slated to hit screens on August 15, 2019.

Besides these, fans were going gaga over a few breath-taking Instagram pictures of Mouni. Moreover, her alleged relationship with ‘Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev’ star Mohit Raina has done several rounds on social networking sites.

On the work front, Ranbir is currently busy shooting his another project 'Sanjay Dutt Biopic'. Also starring Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna in key roles, the movie is scheduled to release on June 28, 2018.

On the other hand, Alia is all geared up for Vicky Kaushal-starrer 'Raazi'. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the romantic comedy will release on May 11, 2018.
