Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest release, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is doing exceptionally well at the box-office. In the film, Ayushmann is seen playing the role of a gay for the first time opposite Jitendra Kumar.
Now as per recent reports, he will next be seen essaying the role of a gynaecologist in his next project titled, Stree Rog Vibhag. The reports further state the actor will star opposite Alaya F in the film. The movie will be reportedly directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, Anurag Kashyap's sister.
As per reports, Stree Rog Vibhag will be helmed by Junglee Pictures. Ayushmann Khurrana has previously collaborated with Junglee Pictures in Badhaai Ho and Bareilly Ki Barfi.
Coming back to Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, the film is doing a fab job at the box office. It earned Rs 9.55 crore on opening day. On its second day, the film earned Rs 11.08 crores. Currently, its total earnings stand at Rs 44.84 crores. The film also features Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Manurishi Chaddha, Sunita Rajwar, Maanvi Gagroo, Pankhuri Awasthy and Neeraj Singh in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, Alaya F made her Bollywood debut with Jawaani Jaaneman opposite Saif Ali Khan. Her performance in the Nitin Kakkar-directed film has been well-received by the audiences.
"Ever since I decided to act and went to acting school, I feel things have been falling in place. Everything that's been happening has been very surreal and overwhelming, but still, it all felt so right and natural. Everything is taking its course and in the best way,'' she had said.
Meanwhile, recent reports also suggest that Alaya will play one of the female leads in Student of the Year 3. The report further adds that the shooting of the film will begin in Bangkok this summer.
