A face well-recognised in the South Indian movies, Ramya Krishnan, known staunchly for her role as Rajamatha Sivagami Devi aka queen Sivagami in SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster, Baahubali will essay the role of a porn star for the upcoming movie, Super Deluxe. According to report, she will be seen in the Tamil thrill alongside other stars like Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni.
Talking to a daily for her role, Ramya Krishna told a daily that her role in Super Deluxe is the most challenging one in her career. She added, “More than me, my assistants were the ones who were shocked. Some roles are for money, some for popularity and name, some for passion. This (Super Deluxe) was passion.â€
A role that drags her out of the comfort zone as an actor, Ramya also opened up about the struggles of shooting scenes even stating that director Thiagarajan Kumararaja made the actress do 37 retakes for a particular scene.
Super Deluxe, a Thiagarajan Kumararaja directorial, features leading South Indian actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Samantha. The thriller will also mark a comeback for director Thiagarajan after being away from the field for five years. India Today reports that Ramya will be seen acting in a film named Mallu Uncut in this Tamil thriller. Â
The Thiagarajan Kumararaja directorial, Super Deluxe releases this March 29.
