Akshay Kumar today shared the first look from his upcoming film, Baap Re Baap. The picture shows him in three different avatars – first as a young man, then a jolly middle-aged man with a moustache and later as an old man. The three Akshay Kumars pose against a backdrop of a grocery store. Akshay captioned the post as, "Ek se bhale do, do se bhale teen... (Two is better than one, three is better than two). Baap Re Baap."
The fans of the actor were happy to see him in such diverse avatars. A fan reacted, ''Triple role sir ji.” Another asked, “Aur ek nayi movie (one more new movie?).''
On the work front, Akshay has several projects in the pipeline. He will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s action film Sooryavanshi, lined up for release on March 27. He will then be seen as transgender in Laxmmi Bomb. Khiladi Kumar is playing a transgender in the Raghava Lawrence film. The film also stars Kiara Advani in the lead role. There is much speculation that Amitabh Bachchan might also appear as a transgender ghost in the film.
He also has a Diwali release this year - his period drama Prithviraj, in which he plays the title role. He will be seen alongside former Miss World Manushi Chhillar, who makes her Bollywood debut with the film. Akshay has already confirmed two films for the next year. He will be seen in Bachchan Pandey first. The film was supposed to release on Christmas this year, but now it will be hitting the silver screens on January 22, 2021.
Akshay had changed the release date of Bachchan Pandey on Aamir Khan's request. Aamir wanted his film Laal Singh Chaddha to get a solo release on Christmas 2020. Then he will be seen in Bell Bottom. The film is a spy thriller, reportedly inspired by true events. Earlier, it was speculated that it was a remake of a Kannada film, but Akshay set the record straight and said, ''Bell Bottom is not a remake of any film, it is an original screenplay inspired by true events.''
Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, Bell Bottom is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jacky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.
