Aishwarya Rai to work with R Madhavan after a decade in Fanney Khan?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's upcoming movie 'Fanney Khan' which has been creating the headlines for its starcast, has got a new addition to the team.  As per the recent buzz, R Madhavan has been roped in for the movie opposite Aishwarya. Acoording to a reports published in Mid Day, Madhavan will play the role of Rai's love interest.

Interestingly, the two actors will be sharing the screen space after a decade. The two were last seen together in 2007 release 'Guru', however they were not paired opposite each other.

Interestingly, a lot of hullabaloo had happened regarding the lead actor of 'Fanney Khan' after it was reported that Vivek Oberoi's cousin Akshay Oberoi turned down the movie because of the blue-eyed beauty.

The media reports suggested that Akshay was first approached to play Aishwarya's love interest. However, he had reportedly rejected the movie due Aish's affair with Vivek.

While the reports invited a lot of criticism for the young actor he later clarified in a statement, "Who in their right mind would ever decline a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan film? It would have been my honour to work with Aishwarya and Rakeysh sir. Yes, I had auditioned for the film and even got shortlisted but unfortunately, I wasn't the one who was finalised for the role and these things happen. I would have loved to be the one to receive that final call from the producers but maybe next time".

Helmed by Atul Manjrekar, 'Fanney Khan' will also bring together Aishwarya and Anil Kapoor on big screen after a hiatus of 17 years. They were last piared together in Satish Kaushik’s 'Humara Dil Aapke Pass Hai' in 2000.

'Fanney Khan' is said to be adapted from Dominique Deruddere’s Dutch film Everybody’s Famous and is expected to release in April 2018.
