After giving a smashing performance in 'Kahaani 2', Vidya Balan is coming up with her first release of the year 'Begum Jaan'.Â
The movie happens to be a Bengali movie 'Rajkahini'.
Vidya will be seen playing the titular role in the movie and will be seen a madam of a brothel.
The diva, who is quite excited about the movie, shared the release date on micro-blogging site Twitter, saying that 'Begum Jaan' will release on April 14. She also shared a poster of the movie which boasted a tagline 'When Freedom Fought Independence'. The entire text was written in beige color, giving an intriguing look.

'Begum Jaan' is being helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Srijit Mukherji, who will be making his Bollywood debut with the movie.
The story revolves around the madam of a brothel essayed by Balan.Â
Earlier, Mukherji had tweeted a photo of Vidya with legendary singer Asha Bhonsle, revealing she will playback for the National-winning actress in the film.Â
"#BegumJaan with her voice!" wrote Mukherji.Â
The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Gauahar Khan in key roles.
'Begum Jaan' has been passed with an A-certificate by the Censor Board, who seemed to have been a little lenient with the movie and didn't ask for any cuts in the movie.
