Fans have been eagerly waiting to see Hrithik Roshan play mathematician Anand Kumar in the upcoming biopic ‘Super 30’. The movie has been making waves ever since the news of the ‘Krrish’ star playing the lead role spread like fire.
Grapevines were buzzing with the news that Katrina Kaif will play the female protagonist in the Vikas Bahl directorial. The speculation started when the founder of Super 30 shared a picture with the ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ actress.
There were reports that 'Bang Bang' co-stars Hritik and Katrina might star in the upcoming film. However, the rumours were refuted by the makers.
It seems the makers have found their leading lady. According to a report in DNA, television actress Mrunal Thakur might star as Hrithik’s wife in the much-awaited flick.
Mrunal, as we all know has been part of shows like 'Kumkum Bhagya', 'Arjun', 'Mujhse Kuchh Kehti Yeh Khamoshiyaan' on the small screen. It was her role of Bulbul in the hit serial ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ which made her a household name.
The report added, the actress was signed for an Indo-American film ‘Love Sonia’ and has been noticed by leading production houses including Yash Raj Films.
Says a source, “They had reservations about the length of the role, but it is an important part. It’s a great thing for a new actress to begin her career with. As for Hrithik, he has never had any reservations about working with newcomers. He was cast opposite newbie Pooja Hegde in Mohenjo Daro’’, a source told DNA.
Interestingly, Mrunal will be the second television actress after Mouni Roy to debut in Bollywood. Check out some of the pictures of the former Nach Baliye contestant.
For the uninitiated, Super 30 will focus on the journey of Anand Kumar as the founder of Super 30 programme. The movie will showcase how he trains 30 deserving candidates from economically weaker sections each year for the IIT-JEE entrance exam.Â
The film produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films is slated to release on November 23, 2018.
