Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden have officially been roped in for lead roles in Amazon’s ambitious, upcoming series, ‘Citadel’ by the Russo Brothers. While much of the series is still kept under wraps much like what spies do, PeeCee, on her part shared the big news on her Instagram post announcing, ‘Cannot wait to work alongside the super talented @maddenrichard and incredible @therussobrothers on this new series. Get ready! CITADEL will be a multi-layered global franchise with interconnected local language productions from India, Italy and Mexico. It will truly be global content’’.
Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg will serve as writers and executive producers of ‘Cidatel’ while Patrick Moran, Mike Larocca, and Joe and Anthony Russo serve as executive producers.
Apart from this very-promising spy-venture, Chopras announced in December that her’s and Nick’s ‘Unscripted’ Sangeet series is coming to Amazon. Announcing the news which PeeCee calls it a ‘Sangeet Project’, she wrote @nickjonas and I are excited to announce a new, currently untitled project (we’re still working on it!!) that celebrates the love and magic that comes from friends and family that join together through music and dance the night before a wedding. It’s our #SangeetProject’’ PeeCee announced on her untitled project.
Priyanka Chopra in the Bollywood sphere was last seen in The Sky is Pink with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. The movie was based on the life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who died in 2015 when she was 18.
