65-year-old Baba Shobhan Sarkar, the man behind the biggest ‘treasure hunt’ of India spoke exclusively to News Nation's Deepak Tyagi and Veerendra Vashishtha revealed facts related to the hidden treasure at the fort of Raja Ram Baksh.
When asked about the buried gold, Baba Shobhan Sarkar sticked to his statement and said "I already wrote in the letter that if my words go wrong then I am ready to face any punishment."
However, Baba also expressed ire over the government and the media as they presented a wrong picture of him.
Meanwhile, baba also claimed that if the government would take his help then they could get the gold within a day.
When News Nation reporter Depaak Tyagi asked Baba Shobhan Sarkar that it’s been seven days and nothing has been found yet, to this Baba replied, “I never predicted anything. These are all rumors that are created on my name, I just asked them to dig around 7-8 feet and they will get signs. I am saying that if my words go wrong you can punish me but still no one is believing me.
“I even asked the mediapersons to come along with me and even today I can show it, but government officials and media, all are blaming me and presenting me in a bad light.”
When asked about the pace of excavation and whether he thinks gold will be found he said, “If they wouldn’t have find any clue then why they are digging, in fact they asked me where we should place the camera. During the first survey they did not get anything then later they approached me and asked me for my help. I told them where to start from and what is the exact location. Without my help they wouldn’t have ever find anything. I also gave them the map of Raja Ram Baksh’s fort that is also certified by government.”
Who was Baba Shobhan Sarkar?
Baba Shobhan Sarkar was born in Shakulan Purva in Kanpur and since his childhood he was into religious deeds. Taking a break from his studies he used to meditate under a tree near his school and also ‘Geeta’.
After completing his high school Shobhan Sarkar left home and went to take Deeksha from Swami Satsanganand and till 8 years he took Sadhna.
Later, Shoban Sarkar also made ashram in ‘Dodhi Ghat’ and also have in his credit to build roads, ponds bridges and a Shiv temple.
