Kedarnath:

On the occasion of Saawan, News Nation in an exclusive coverage witnessed the first puja at Kedarnath temple performed by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna, along with state cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat and BJP Leader Uma Bharati.

However, the first puja landed in a controversy on Tuesday after the priests complained that the prayers shouldn't have been performed till all bodies were removed from the area.

"Several bodies are lying near the Kedarnath temple. Till all bodies are cremated, no rituals should be performed at the temple. No one should have performed the puja here yesterday," said a priest, Rajiv Sharma Sur.
