SAIL Recruitment Notification has been released for manager posts in several disciplines. All interested and eligible candidates need to apply through the prescribed format on the official website, i.e. sail.co.in. It is to note that the last date to apply for the Manager post is January 4, 2020. In addition, candidates must make sure to go through the official notification and eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the respective posts.
A total of 11 vacant managerial positions are going to be filled through this recruitment drive out of which 2 posts are for Manager E-3 Grade, 1 post each for Manager (Secondary Refinery Unit), Manager (Converter Operations), Manager (Mechanical Maintenance of SRU) and Manager (Mechanical Maintenance of Converter), 3 posts are for Manager (Mechanical Maintenance of Hydraulic System) and 2 posts are for Manager (Mechanical Maintenance of Caster Area).
In order to apply for the Managerial positions, candidates need to have B.E./B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering/Metallurgy from a government recognized university with at-least 7 years of experience in the relevant field in an integrated steel plant. Candidates in the General/OBC/EWS categories need to have 65 percent marks and candidates in SC/ST category need to have 55 percent marks in their qualifying examinations.
The upper age limit for general candidates is 35 years whereas 5 years and 3 years relaxation are given to SC/ST and OBC candidates respectively. The salary package of shortlisted candidates will be in the scale of Rs 32,900 – Rs 58,000 along-with other allowances as applicable.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of interview. However, if the ratio of applicants for the post increases a written test will also be held.
