BPSC 65th Civil Services Prelims Exam To Begin Today, More Than 4 Lakh Candidates To Appear

BPSC 65th Civil Services Prelims Exam is going to begin today and more than 5 lakhs are expected to appear for the exam. The BPSC civil services exam is going to be conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission. It is to note that the BPSC 65th Prelims Combined Competitive Exam (CCE) will be conducted in a single shift from 11 AM to 2 PM at 718 exam centres, covering more than 35 districts. As told by officials, the number of candidates appearing for the BPSC exam is going to be more than 4 lakhs.

BPSC has released a notification regarding exam instructions that needs to be followed by appearing candidates. The BPSC Notification reads “The candidates should reach the exam centre one hour before commencement of the exam. The commission will bar the candidates from taking the exam if they were found carrying mobile phones, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, electronic pen, smart watch, whitener, eraser and blade. The commission will declare the answer-sheet invalid if they find any mark or sign on them. Carrying calculators is strictly prohibited. The candidates also have to carry ID proof with photograph like Aadhaar Card, Driving licence, PAN card or Passport for verification purpose”

In the meantime, Patna District administration has raised the section 144 of the CrPC within 200 meters of every exam venue under Patna Sub-Division in order to prevent all illicit activities from happening at prohibited areas.

The imposition of Section 144 will prevent the gathering of more than 5 persons, carrying edged weapons and firearms, explosive material in the 200 meters area within the radius of exam venue. This was said by Kumari Anupam Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Patna. The Sub Divisional Magistrate further said that no public speech or sloganeering would be allowed in the exam centre for smooth conduct of the BPSC exam. The Section 144 will remain active in the exam centres till the completion of the BPSC 65th exam 2019.
