UP Government Postpones UPTET 2019 Exam, New Date To Be Announced Soon

Around 16 Lakh 58 Thousand Candidates Are To Write Their UPTET Paper This Year.

New Delhi:

The Government of Uttar Pradesh on Friday postponed the UP TET exam scheduled to be conducted on Sunday. The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on December 22. The development came after protests against Citizenship Amendment Act got violent in some parts of the state.

A circular issued by Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Basic Education department, Renuka Kumar said due to the inevitable reasons the UP TET exam scheduled to be held on December 22, is postponed to the further notice. The new dates for the examination will be declared at the earliest possible.

Around 16 lakh 58 thousand candidates are to write their UPTET paper this year. The UPTET written test was to be conducted in two shifts at around 1986 examination centres across the state.

Earlier, the UPTET Admit Cards were released on the official website of the board. But in the recent past, as protest are being organised in the state and internet facility has been interrupted in the state many candidates are unable to download their admit card therefore the Board has decided to postpone the examination.
