UPPSC PCS 2019 Notification has been released for more than 300 posts. All candidates can apply for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Prelims Examination at the official website. The official website of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is uppsc.up.nic.in. Apart from this, the last date to submit the application form for the Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) and Regional Forest Officer (RFO) Services Examination is November 13 and the last date to pay the application fee is November 11, 2019.

All candidates who wish to apply for the Assistant Conservator of Forest/Range Forest Officers Posts need to appear in the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Prelims examination 2019. After taking the Preliminary examination, shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the Assistant Conservator of Forest/Range Forest Officer Services Main Examination (Written) followed by interview.

UPPSC PCS 2019 Recruitment: Application Process

In order to apply for the UPPSC Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Prelims examination, candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:

First, visit the official website, i.e. uppsc.up.nic.in and read the three notification carefully that includes ‘View Advertisement’, ‘Users Instruction’ and ‘Apply’. After reading the instructions and View advertisement, candidates need to apply online in three stages.

At the first stage, candidates need to fill the registration form online by entering some basic details and take a printout of the registration form slip.

At the second stage, Candidates need to pay the application fee through net banking, debit/credit card or bank challan, and take a printout of the Payment receipt for future reference.

At the final and third stage, candidates need to fill the application form and upload the scanned images and other relevant document, and take a printout of the UPPSC PCS application form for future reference. In this way, candidates will be able to complete the registration process for Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Prelims examination 2019 successfully.

All candidates who get selected in the UPPSC PCS Prelims exam, Main exam and interview will be recruited for Assistant Conservator of Forest/Range Forest Officers Posts in respective departments.

UPPSC PCS 2019 Recruitment: Eligibility

In order to apply for the UPPSC PCS exam 2019, candidates need to hold Bachelor’s Degree in respective discipline from a recognized university. In addition to this, candidates need to hold relevant degree for the posts of Sub Registrar, Assistant Prosecuting Officer (Transport), District Basik Shiksha Adhikari / Associate DIOS and Other equivalent administrative posts, District Administrative Officer, Marketing officer/ Secretary Group-II (Mandi Parisad), Law Officer, etc.

Eligibility Criteria: Under the Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination.

Assistant Conservator of Forest Post: Eligibility Criteria  

Essential Qualification: Candidates to hold Bachelor’s Degree in respective discipline with at-least one subject namely Physics, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Geology, Forestry, Statistics, Chemistry or a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.

Range Forest Officer: Eligibility

Essential Qualification: Candidates need to hold Bachelor’s Degree with two or more of the subjects namely Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Statistics, Agriculture, Horticulture and Environment or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science from a recognized university.

UPPSC PCS 2019 Recruitment: Age limit

It is to note that candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2019 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1979 and not later than July 1, 1998. Age relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

Assistant Conservator of Forest: Minimum Physical Standard

All candidates applying for the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest need to meet the following minimum physical standard:

For male and female candidates, the height, chest (girth) and expansion should be minimum 163 cms, 84 cms and 5 cms And 150 cms,79 cms and 5 cms respectively.

UPPSC PCS 2019 Recruitment: Selection Procedure

The entrance exam for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (General Recruitment / Special Recruitment) Examination, 2019 and Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination, 2019 will include three tests: Prelims Exam (MCQs format), Main Examination (Written Exam) and Viva-Voce (Personality Test).

UPPSC PCS 2019 Recruitment: Exam Pattern

The Preliminary examination 2019 for Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination and Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (General Recruitment / Special Recruitment) will include two compulsory papers. The two papers will be of 200 marks each and of 2 hours’ time duration. Both the papers in the UPPSC PCS 2019 Recruitment Exam will be objective type and multiple choice based respectively. The paper II of the preliminary exam will be a qualifying paper in which candidates need to get at-least 33 percent marks. It is mandatory for candidates to appear in both the papers.

The UPPPSC PCS Main exam will comprise two papers of compulsory subjects and optional subjects where candidates need to choose 1 optional subject. The compulsory subjects of the UPPSC PCS Main exam will be General Hindi 150 marks, Essay 150 marks, General Studies (First Paper) 200 marks, General Studies (Second Paper) 200 marks, General Studies (Third Paper) 200 marks and General Studies (Fourth Paper) 200 marks.

Personality Test (Viva-Voce)

The third stage of the UPPSC PCS Exam 2019 is personality test (Viva-Voce) that will comprise questions related to general interest in regard to subjects of intelligence, general awareness, character and general suitability for the service.

UPPSC PCS 2019 Recruitment: Big Change in Syllabus

It is to note this year Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has made big change in the syllabus. A total of 5 subjects have been excluded from the UPPSC 2019 Syllabus. The name of those subjects that will no longer be part of UPPSC 2019 Recruitment Exam 2019 are Arabic Language, Persian Language, Social Work, Defence and Agricultural Engineering. The UPPSC Main 2019 use to comprise 33 subjects, however from now onwards the UP-Public Service Commission is going to have to 28 subjects. Earlier, the number of candidates selected for Mains Exam was 18 times which is now to reduced 13 times. In addition, the percentage of candidates called for interview round is reduced from three times to two times.

In UPPSC 2019 Recruitment, 10% seats will be reserved for economically backward class candidates, and this is the first-time reservation of female candidates is likely to be taken into consideration.
