UPSC has released the Revised Tie Breaking Principles 2020 for all structured examinations, Engineering Services Examination and Direct Recruitment Examinations. Candidates who are going to appear for UPSC Conducted Exams such as CDS, Civil Services, NDA, CAPF, Specialist Services and Stenographers Exam need to visit the official website of the commission, i.e. upsc.gov.in to check the detailed Revised Tie Breaking Principles 2020 for UPSC Exams. Alternatively, candidates can click on the below mentioned direct link to check the detailed and official UPSC Revised Tie Breaking Principles 2020.
According to the official notification released by Union Public Service Commission, the Revised Tie Breaking Principles will be applied for the UPSC Examinations dated after August 28, 2019. Other than this, the UPSC Revised Tie Breaking Principle for Engineering Services Exam will be applicable for exam notified after August 28, 2019.

It is to note that if two or more candidates have obtained equal overall marks, the following ties will be resolved according to the following Tie Breaking Parameters that is approved by the commission:
Civil Service and Forest Service Exams: Age and Marks in compulsory (Common) papers plus marks in PT
Combined Medical Service Exam: Age and Date/Year of Completion of the Internship
CDS, NDA, CAPF (AC), CISF (LDCE): Age
Engineering Service Examination: Age and Marks of subject/technical papers plus marks of PT
IES, ISS, Combined Geo-Scientist & Geologist Exams: Age and Marks of subject specific papers plus marks of PT
Stenographers (LDCE) Examinations: Age
