Taskin Ahmed, Arafat Sunny banned from bowling in ICC T20 World cup

The illegal action monster is back to hunt the world cricket again. In the ongoing ICC T20 World cup 2016, Bangladesh suffered a huge jolt match against Australia as bowler Taskin Ahmed and off-spinner Arafat Sunny banned from bowling.

The ICC asked both the bowlers not to continue bowling in the ongoing series. Both the Bangladeshi bowlers Taskin and Sunny were reported by ICC referee during the qualifying round in Dharamshala.

 However, left-arm spinner Saqlain Sajib will replace Sunny and Taskin will be replaced by off spin-bowling all-rounder Shuvagata  Hom.

 Earlier, off spinner Sohag Gazi,  Abdur Razzak  and Al-Amin Hossain  were was suspended from bowling for illegal action.  

“The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced that independent assessments have found the bowling actions of Bangladesh’s Arafat Sunny and Taskin Ahmed to be illegal and, as such, both the bowlers have been suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect,” the ICC said in a statement.

“As a consequence of these suspensions, the Bangladesh cricket team is permitted to apply to the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 Event Technical Committee for approval to replace the two bowlers in the squad for the remainder of the event,” the ICC said.
