New Delhi:

In the second semi-finals of the ICC cricket World Cup, a formidable Australian side won the toss and elected to bat first against unbeaten India at the historic SCG. The big question lies, will the toss play an important role in the match. Traditionally, the SCG turf has helped the spinner and under the lights the ball will grip and provide turn and bounce to the spinners.

Aussies batting first can post huge total on the board to trouble India. Indian skipper MS Dhoni also said, he would have also bat first on the pitch and post huge total.

On the contrary, the Kangaroos do not have a traditional spinner in their armoury to trouble Indian batsmen under the light.  It will be also a litmus test for the Indian bowlers to contain Aussies as they bat deep.

Aussies haven’t lost single semi-finals in the World Cup since its inception. Australia have won seven of the ten World Cup matches it has played against India.
