New Delhi:

Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday celebrated its 5th anniversary at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. On this occasion AAP leader and poet Kumar Vishwas once again shown his difference with  party chief Kejriwal.

While speaking on the occasion of party's anniversary, Kumar Vishwas, who is known for attacking opponents in a poetic way, said the party has moved away from the path it sat out and needs to find the right way forward.

Kumar said, “I was warned by people that they humiliate him to an extent that he himself will leave the party.”

“Main Abhimanyu hun, meri hatya me bhi vijay hain (I am the Abhimanyu (Son of Arjuna, the hero of Mahabharata) and even my death is a victory),” Kumar added.

Without directly naming Kejriwal, he said that “some leaders of our party have become arrogant. And if Chandragupta (a student) becomes egoistic, it’s the duty of Chanakya (the guru) to send him back.”

Kumar didn’t stop here and said, “An ill can’t treat the hospital. And for that, we first have to correct ourselves. Standing at Ramlila Maidan, we have to think if we are still on the same path we started.”

Kumar also talked about the national AAP National Council meeting last month and said his name was not included in the list of speakers but despite that he will not leave the party.

The tensions between Kumar Vishwas and Arvind Kejriwal rose after the debacle of AAP in this year’s Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections. After the MCD poll defeat, Kumar had openly criticized party’s sudden shift in the politics.

After that, he was called “a BJP agent” by Kejriwal’s close aide and AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan. Khan was later suspended from party’s primary membership for a brief time.

He was inducted into the party days before Party’s national council meeting.
