In another tweet, Ajay Alok posted an image of his resignation letter.

The resignation comes a day after Ajay Alok urged Union home minister Amit Shah to check the inflow of infiltrators and get the allegations investigated that some of the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel deployed on the border were taking Rs 5,000 from each of the infiltrators from Bangladesh and Myanmar for entering Indian side.

Ajay Alok, son of a leading physician of Patna Dr Gopal Prasad Sinha, had unsuccessfully contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections as JD(U) candidate against BJP’s Shatrughan Sinha from Patna Saheb constituency. In the year 2016, Ajay Alok was removed from the post of spokesman of JDU. However, he was later appointed as JDU spokesperson again.
