New Delhi:

During the all-party meeting called by Election Commission on Electronic Voting Machine issue, the Aam Aadmi Party on Friday suggested three points before EC which posed challenge to political parties to hack EVMs. The AAP urged EC to organise hackathon and also conduct challenge to prove tampering in last election.

AAP said that during the challenge, EC should talk on-camera to voters who filed affidavit to complain about rigging of their votes after taking print of time stamp of machines in presence of political parties and magistrate at the controversial booths.

AAP suggested that all the political parties, technical experts and students of institutes like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) should be called in hackathon to prove that EVMs can be hacked.

The Arvind Kejriwal led party also advised that VVPAT machines should be installed at all the booths in the coming election and should also make a rule that at least 25 per cent of votes should be counted on VVPAT machines.

AAP also suggested EC to bring 100 per cent transparency in political funding for all political parties. It also said that the present government is arranging for corporate funding from backdoor which should be stopped as it is a threat to democracy.

AAP stressed that under the present arrangement, people giving Rs 2,000 can be held accountable but names of people giving crores of rupees are concealed.
