Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, one of BJP's tallest leaders and most revered politicians, on Thursday left for his heavenly aboad. He was 93. Vajpayee, one of the most charismatic leaders, was also known for his poetic skill. The celebrated poet, who was admitted to Delhi AIIMS following a urinary tract infection on June 11, has given people courage, motivation and wisdom through his oratory over the years.
The BJP veteran had received thunderous applause from across the country whenever he recited a few couplets from his 'out of the ordinary' creations.
The 93-year-old former prime minister, who ruled the country between 1998 to 2004, had been suffering ill health for several years now, but his spirit never weakened and love for poetry makes the poet in him shines on.
"One day you may become an ex-prime minister, but you will never become an ex-poet!" Vajpayee said once.
Here's remembering some profound lines from his poems, which are an inspiration to the nation and truly reflects his passion and positive state of mind, he lived the life with, even in his old age.

Verse 1: Aao fir se diya jalaaen, Bhari dupaheri mein andhiyara, Sooraj parachhai se hara, Antaratam ka neh nichode, Bujhi hui baati sulagaaen, Aao fir se diya jalaaen!
Verse 2: Mere Prabhu! Mujhe itani oonchaai kabhi mat dena, Gairon ko gale na lagaa sakoon, Itani rukhaai kabhi mat dena |
Verse 3: Kyon na main kshan kshan ko jioon? Kan-kan mein bikhare saundarya ko pioon?
Verse 4: Hone, na hone ka kram, Isi tarah chalta rahega, Hum hain, hum rahenge, Yeh bhram bhi sadaa paltaa rahega |
Verse 5: Maut ki umar kyaa hai? do pal bhi nahi, Zindagi silsila, aaj kal ki nahi |

Verse 7: Swayam ko doosaron ki drishti se main dekh paataa hoon, na main chup hoon na gaataa hoon |
Verse 8: Daanv par sab kuchh lagaa hai, ruk nahi sakate, took sakate hain magar, hum jhuk nahi sakate |
