Yes, beating B-town fame Salman Khan the RCB skipper has reached a new height of popularity and is only second to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in terms of followers on the social media platform.
Currently, Modi has around 42,285,934 followers on Facebook.
According to last rating taken on Sunday morning, Virat, the 28-year-old fame of the nation is enjoying 6,00,000 more followers than Dabang star Salman Khan.
Not only Facebook, other social media giants like Twitter and Instagram has also welcomed the gem with much love and regards.
While Virat is enjoying 16 million followers on Twitter, on Instagram the number is around 14 million.
