A group of goons in Bihar’s Saharsa assaulted a woman school owner and opened fire after she allegedly refused to pay extortion money to them. The entire incident of the brutal assault was caught on a CCTV camera installed in the school building. The video of the act, shared by news agency ANI, shows a group of four to five men running aggressively towards the school building where the woman was standing. One of them holding an object, possibly a leather belt, started beating her while others pushed her to the ground. In the entire video, the woman is seen begging the group but to avail no mercy. Meanwhile, some passers-by also crossed the spot, but no one dared to intervene.
After a spell of assault, the goons left but this didn’t end here. One of them returned with a gun and opened fire at the building while two more people followed him on a bike. After firing, the man who fired the shot handed over the gun to his bike-borne aide. Later, more people joined and one of them banged on the door while the other threw a stone at the door.
The woman, who got injured in the incident, was taken to a hospital for medical treatment while her husband lodged a police complaint. According to the FIR, the goons had been demanding Rs 1.5 lakh from her but she refused to pay them.
Reacting to the incident, Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI), Saharsa said that a police investigation has been initiated in the case and the culprits will be brought to justice. However, none of them could be arrested so far.
