Bihar: Man shot dead over love affair in Goplaganj

New Delhi:

A man was killed by assailants in Gopalganj district of Bihar on Wednesday. The assailants barged into his residence and shot him dead, the police said.

The incident took place at Ramesh Nagar near Hajiapur Chowk of the city. The deceased, Mitthu Kumar Pandey, was residing in a posh locality where the other senior administrative officials also putting up.

A senior police official informed that he was residing in Ramesh Nagar for past ten days on rented house. On Wednesday, he was at home when two miscreants approached him and shot him dead.

 He said primafacie it seems a love affair matter, but an investigation is on.
