New Delhi:

BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday said the party is all set to sweep Odisha in 2019, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah held a high-level meeting with the state leaders of Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Sunday.

"Addressed a meeting with Shakti Kendra incharges and co-incharges in Bhubaneswar (Odisha). With such energy and enthusiasm among @BJP4Odisha karyakartas, BJP is all set to sweep Odisha in 2019, under the leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi,” Shah tweeted.

Terming Shah’s visit to the state as significant, a senior party leader said the BJP president had set a target for the party to win at least 120 of the 147 Assembly seats in Odisha.

“The visit is more significant as the BJP president has set a target for the party to win at least 120 out of the 147 seats in the next Assembly polls. We are working wholeheartedly to translate his dream into reality,” the leader said.

Shah’s visit to Odisha follows his tour of West Bengal and Manipur.

Meanwhile, the BJP president conveyed his condolences to the families of those killed in a bus accident in Uttarakhand’s Pauri district.

“Pained to know about the loss of lives in a tragic bus accident in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. My deepest condolences with the bereaved families and i pray for the speedy recovery of those who have been injured. Have also spoken to the local BJP unit to join the rescue operation,” Shah tweeted.

At least 47 people were killed and 11 others injured after a bus fell down in a 200-feet deep gorge in Dhumakot area of Uttarakhand’s Pauri Garhwal district on Sunday.
