New Delhi:

CPI (M) leader Brinda Karat on Tuesday launching a counterattack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its party president Amit Shah accused him of “deliberately of inciting violence against its cadres and leaders.”

Shah was in Kerala to launch a fortnight-long march, Jan Raksha Yatra, by the BJP in the state to protest alleged political violence by the Left party.

While addressing a rally Shah had held Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan responsible for the violence in the state and said, “BJP workers were victims of political murders."

In reply, Karat said, “Shah is deliberately inciting violence against CPI (M) party workers and its leaders.”

She added, “CPI (M) is a recognised national party. We are here not because of Shah but because of the people. We will not tolerate this.”

She also alleged that lies are flourishing under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah.

“Large number of CPI (M) cadres have been targeted and killed by the RSS. The saffron party wants to intimidate those who stand up against its terror tactics and communal hatred,” alleged Karat.
