Kashmir: Five injured as clashes rock Nowhatta post Friday prayers, protesters seen with ISIS flag

New Delhi:

At least five people were injured as a massive clashes broke out between protesters and security forces outside historic Jamia Masjid in old city area of Nowhatta post Friday prayers. According to reports five youth have sustained pellet injuries during the clashes with forces.

According to reports soon after the Friday prayers ended, the youth gathered outside the mosque and raised anti-India slogans and pelted stones on police personnel and CRPF jawans present there. The protesters were demanding release of prisoners. The forces used tear smoke shells and pellets to disburse the protesters. During the protest, the youth could be seen displaying an Islamic State (ISIS) flag.
