Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Friday fainted during an event in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar. Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, who was also on the stage, caught hold of Nitin Gadkari. The minister was in Ahmednagar for the convocation ceremony of the Mahatma Phule Agricultural University.
A video shared by local news channel TV9 Marathi shows Nitin Gadkari sitting on a chair and people gathered around him.
"Had slight medical condition due to low sugar. I have been attended by doctors and I am doing well now. I thank all of you for all the well wishes," Gadkari tweeted.
