Piyush Goyal after taking oath as cabinet minister on Sunday has replaced Suresh Prabhu as Railway Minister. He will also hold additional charge of the Ministry of Coal.
Former railways minister Suresh Prabhu had offered to quit following incessant incidents of derailments.

After a three-year long stint as Railway Minister, Prabhu has been given the new responsibility of Commerce Ministry.
Over 370 major train accidents of derailments, collision and fire took place during his three years tenure.
