New Delhi:

A Canadian citizen travelling to China was held at the Delhi airport on Saturday for allegedly carrying six live bullets in his hand baggage. Officials said the incident was reported late on Friday when a CISF official detected the bullets during x-ray scanning of the baggage.

Six .32 calibre bullets were found from the hand baggage of the passenger, identified as MS Bassi, who was travelling to Shanghai, they said.

"Bassi could not produce a valid license or required documents for carrying the ammunition and he was later handed over to police," a senior officer said.
