An IndiGo flight 6E 636 going from Nagpur to Delhi had to be aborted at the last minute due to a ‘serious error’. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was also onboard the flight.

According to the news agency ANI, the pilot of IndiGo flight 6E 636 decided to abort the take-off after detecting serious error and the plane returned to the taxiway. All passengers were deboarded.

“Passengers, including Nitin Gadkari, the Road Transport Minister, were de-boarded. Passengers are currently waiting at the Nagpur airport,” NDTV quoted an airport official as saying.

More details are awaited.

It is worth mentioning here that Nitin Gadkari is the Lok Sabha MP from Nagpur.

Recently, a Lucknow-bound IndiGo flight carrying around 143 passengers had returned to the city airport, almost an hour after its departure, due to a technical glitch. Confirming the incident, Indigo had said that the pilot decided to return the aircraft to Mumbai due to an "indication error". The A320 plane was carrying around 143 passengers.
