Targeting Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal over Shunglu committee findings, Union minister Venkaiah Naidu, accompanied by Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari, asked the Delhi CM to come clean on the reports. He made the statement during campaigning the poll-bound Rajouri Garden Assembly area.

Akali-BJP candidate Manjinder Singh Sirsa is pitted against AAP and Congress in a three-cornered contest for the April 9 by-election in Rajouri Garden.

“It is shocking that Kejriwal who came to power showing a bundle of 370 pages of corruption charges against Sheila Dikshit is today unable to face the people on the 404 page Shunglu Committee report,” Naidu said at an election rally in support of Sirsa.

He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, dubbing him as a “visionary” leader who involved in “two tracks” politics of development and communicating with people.

“On one hand, Modi has given the country a lead in expanding air, road, water and rail transports for enhanced economic growth, on the other hand he is communicating with people through ‘Mann Ki Baat’,” he said.

Voting for bypoll will take place on April 9. The constituency fell vacant after the sitting AAP legislator resigned to contest Assembly election in Punjab.
