Television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee has been again summoned by the Pant Nagar Police for interrogation in businessman Rajeshwar Udani murder case, as stated by the news agency ANI. The actress is popularly known as Gopi of TV drama show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. The Sath Nibhana Sathiya actress was interrogated for hours and detained three days after the murder of Rajeshwar Udani – a city-based diamond merchant. Besides the model-turned-actress, a politician – Sachin Pawar – was also arrested by the police. Pawar was said to be very close to the deceased diamond merchant. He used to work for Maharashtra minister Prakash Mehta.

The arrest and detention of the actress and the former Maharashtra minister’s aide came three days after the body of Rajeshwar Udani was found in a forest area near the Raigad district.

Although the police refused to share more details about Bhattacharjee’s role in the case, they hinted that more actresses from the entertainment industry could be summoned for interrogation.

However, the police could not trace him for about a week and after that, the family began to fear something amiss. The police then registered a case of kidnapping against unknown persons.
