The Hazaribagh court has given life sentence to former RJD MP Prabhunath Singh in 22-year-old Ashok Singh murder case. The former MP was convicted by the court on May 18 and decided the quantum of sentence on Tuesday.
Singh is a criminal turned politician and was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha. He represented the Maharajganj constituency of Bihar from 2004 to 2009 on JDU ticket, but later switched sides and joined Rashtriya Janata Dal in 2013.
