With National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government completing its fourth year in power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing a mega rally in Odisha's Cuttack city on Saturday.

Large number of security personnel have been deployed at the historic Baliyatra ground ahead of PM Modi's arrival at the place. The venue has been chosen because Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan is in charge of undivided Cuttack.

Modi's visit is significant to the state after BJP's defeat in the Bijepur bypoll along with two urban polls of Notified Area Councils at Attabira and Hindol. With an unfortunate defeat in the recent Karnataka Assembly polls, the party is now intensifying its campaign across the poll-bound states including Odisha. Apart from various state assembly elections, the BJP has also shifted its focus to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with an aim to retain its power in the country for the second consecutive time.
