ABVP does not have license to take law into it's own hands, says Gurmehar Kaur

Lady Sri Ram Ram College student Gurmehar Kaur on Monday commented about students organisation ABVP as well as on the right to freedom of speech.

Kaur said that she will not be scared or be cowed down, her father took a bullet for the country and she is also ready to take bullet for the country. 

The Delhi University student also stated that, Stones were not pelted on Umar Khalid, he was not even present, stones were pelted on students who were there.

On February 22, violent clashes broke out between Left-affiliated AISA and RSS-backed ABVP at DU’s Ramjas college over a seminar invite to JNU students Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid which left “several students and three teachers injured”.

On the question of patriotism she said 'love my country and I also love my fellow students and I support their right to freedom of speech'

The Delhi University student, whose social media campaign against ABVP recently went viral, alleged to have received “rape threats”.
Lady Sri Ram Ram College student Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of Kargil martyr Captain Mandeep Singh, said she has attracted a barrage of hate messages over her stand on the issue.
