New Delhi:
A Home Guard jawan was slapped and dragged for about 200 metres on the bonnet of an SUV of Haryana BJP leader Satish Khoda after he tried to stop the vehicle as it was plying on the wrong side of the road in Haryana's Rewari, witnesses said.
Monu Yadav, the Home Guard jawan, said he saw the vehicle plying on the wrong side of the road and tried to stop it. But the driver, Sonu, however, kept driving on with him on the bonnet for about 200 metres.
"I stopped the car. But the driver said that this is Satish Khoda's car. They slapped me when I said that they were on the wrong side," the home guard was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

The incident was captured by bystanders on their mobile phones and some videos have gone viral on social media.
However, the driver of the car said, "I had taken the car on the wrong side. Then the officer on duty stopped me. I pleaded with him. But he objected during which time I drove the car ahead. The officer got dragged along for around 300 metres. I admit my mistake."
Khoda, who was inside the SUV when the incident happened, expressed regret over the incident.
"The railway crossing here was closed for nearly 25 minutes. There was a huge rush of vehicles. As my driver was signalled to stop, he tried to find a spot to park on one side as it was causing a massive traffic jam. There was no intention to deliberately do anything. I express regret if anyone had to face trouble," Khola, who is currently the coordinator of BJP's Professional Cell and who had previously served as the chief of a district unit of the party, told reporters.
