New Delhi:

On Tuesday, India woke up to the news of Indian Air Force’s mega strike deep into Pakistan occupied Kashmir destroying major terror camps run by Jaish-e-Mohammed. Congress chief Rahul Gandhi was among the first leaders to react on this. “I salute pilots of IAF,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi as Mirage 2000 pounded Jaish’s PoK camps. The Congress also took to Twitter and said, “We salute the @IAF_MCC for their consistent & determined effort to keep Indians safe. Jai Hind.”

Earlier, leaving aside the political differences, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi had said that the entire Opposition stood with the Narendra Modi government over Pulwama terror attack. Addressing media in New Delhi, Gandhi had said that expressed his grief and said, “I am hurt, so is every Indian. This is a terrible tragedy. This type of violence done against our security forces is absolutely disgusting. The aim of terrorism is to divide this country and we are not going to be divided.”

Former Prime minister Manmohan Singh also had said that, “As the Congress President put it, today is the day of mourning. Our country has lost close to 40 jawans of the armed forces. Our foremost duty is to convey to the families that we are with them.” The Congress party stands in full support of our jawans and their families. We will do all that is necessary to keep this nation united, he added.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that, “actually it was mostly on our own territory, which is called PoK- Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. So you can always bomb your own territory, nothing wrong.”

“Even if it was their territory, we have under the United Nation charter the right of self-defence. They have been attacking us & they say we want to give a thousand cuts to India, so our government did the right thing by giving them 1000 bombs,” Swamy added. “I salute the bravery of Indian Air Force pilots who have made us proud by striking terror targets in Pakistan,” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.
