The 37th India International Trade Fair started off with the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, inaugurating the ceremony on the 14th of November for the general public. The theme of this year's Trade Fair is "Start up and Standup". The success of the theme "Startup and Stand up" is crowding up with young enthusiasts.

ABOUT THE SCHEME: START UP AND STANDUP:

Launched in 2016, the scheme "Startup and Standup" has been providing a grant of Rs 1.5 crore. A total of 43 start-ups have been flourished, ranging from social and marketing entrepreneurs to business enterprises and high-end technology. The campaign was first announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15th August, 2015, and was launched on 16th January, 2016. 

This time's Trade Fair has been alloted small space by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) as a proposal to make an International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre's work in underway. Some visitors take this positively and say this might allow them to cover more stalls in a shorter period of time. This year's partner country for the fair is Vietnam while the focus country is Kyrgyztan.

PAVILLIONS TO WATCH OUT FOR: 

The fair is stretched among halls 7 (ABCDEFGH), 8,9,10,11,12,12A and 18. Hall number 7 displays Government Group Participation, halls 8,9,10 displays the Government Sector, hall 11 displays Electronics, Kitchen Equipments, Computer Peripherals, Mobile Phones etc, hall 12 displays Government Participants, and and hall 12A displays Cosmetics, Health Sector, Leather and Footwear, Jewellery and Watches, etc. The ground floor of hall 12A and the Hangar opposite hall 12A displays Foreign participants. 

FACILITIES:

The facilities that have been incubated in this year's fair are banks and ATM services, post office and telephone department, press centre, ambulance and medical services, fire service station, park and ride facilities from designated car parks, logistic/cargo handling services, shuttle service inside Pragati Maidan, and food courts and restraunts.

ENTRY AND TIMINGS:

The fair opens from November 14 to November 17 to the Business Visitors and from November 18 to November 27 to the General Public. The ticket rates would be Rs 60 for adults and Rs 20 for children in weekdays, while Rs 120 for adults and Rs 60 for children on weekends. There would be free entry to senior citizens with a valid identity proof of their age.

The India Internation Trade Fair is a great platform for branding opportunities and to witness the cultures of different states of India as well as the partner and the focus countries.
