India will send three lakh youths to Japan as part of a bilateral technical training programme, announced Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan.
Pradhan informed the media that Indian recruits will receive training in Japan for a period of three to five years.
“The trainees will be provided with accommodation and job opportunities in Japan,” added Pradhan.
According to the plans of the BJP-led central government three lakh youths will be sent for on-job training for 3-5 years as part of government’s skill development programme.
He added, “The financial costing of the skill training if Indian technical interns will be taken care by Japan,”
A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between India and Japan on the ‘Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) will be signed on October 16.
Every youth going attending the TITP will be there for a tenure of 3-5 years.
The interns will be selected according to Japanese requirements.
