New Delhi:

India on Sunday registered a comfortable 9-wicket victory in second India vs Pakistan encounter in the Asia Cup 2018. After the crazy hype of India vs Pakistan match, both the games ended being a one-sided contest with India dismantling Pakistan by an 8-wicket victory in the first match and now a 9-wicket win in the second in a span of just 4 days.

Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to bat first. Both the openers started cautiously but Imam ul-Haq was sent back to pavilion by Chahal for 10 runs. Fakhar Zaman then witnessed a loopy delivery by Kuldeep Yadav hitting his pads as he got removed for 31 runs.

Here are the player ratings from India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2018 contest:

INDIA

1. Rohit Sharma: 9/10

The skipper was lucky to be dropped 3 times but his captaincy moves and some of the shots that he played only proved why he is the ‘hitman’ of the number 1 ODI side. He registered his 15th ODI ton and completed 7000 runs in One-Day cricket.

2. Shikhar Dhawan: 9.5/10

The flamboyant lefty was in full flow as he tonked 2 sixes and 14 fours to complete his 15th ODI century.

3. Ambati Rayudu: 4/10

Not enough time to rate the birthday boy, was neat when fielding and just completed the formality when came to bat.

4. Dinesh Karthik: 5/10

DK didn’t get the opportunity to use his willow and was quick on field.

5. Mahendra Singh Dhoni: 6/10

The DRS appeal was top notch as the world again called it as Dhoni Review System, he didn’t get the chance to bat but was great behind the stumps.

6. Kedar Jadhav: 4/10

India’s golden arm had a sluggish day as he gave away 20 runs in 3 overs without a wicket.

7. Ravindra Jadeja: 4/10

The all-rounder had a silent day at the office as he was expensive with the ball. He was at his usual best on the field and was behind a run-out.

8. Bhuvneshwar Kumar: 6/10

Excellent first spell and sluggish second spell summed up Bhuvneshwar’s day as he was smashed for 22 runs by Asif Ali in the first over of his second spell.

The chinaman continued to impress everyone as he was the key man to broke the Malik-Sarfraz duo. 10-0-41-2 – an impressive figure – completed a great outing for Kuldeep.

Yuzvendra Chahal was excellent with the ball as he scalped 2 wickets in 9 overs, giving away just 46 runs.

PAKISTAN

1. Imam-ul-Haq: 2/10

Imam had a horrible outing, scoring just 10 off 20 balls.

3. Babar Azam: 1/10

Another victim of brilliant delivery, scored just 9 off 25 runs he faced.

4. Sarfraz Ahmed: 6/10

Captain Sarfraz started brilliantly with the bat but look clueless while dictating his bowlers and fielders against Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan.

Shoaib Malik is getting finer with age! Scored 78 runs and his wicket was probably the game changer for Pakistan. Only the bright light in dark outing for Pakistan.

Smashed Bhuvneshwar for 22 runs which gave Pakistan a push to get to the 230+ score.

7. Shadab Khan: 1/10

A forgettable day for Shadab as he got out for cheap with the bat and conceded 54 runs in 8 overs with the ball.

Did nothing with the bat and was smashed all over the park by Rohit and Dhawan.

9. Hasan Ali: 4/10

Another victim of Rohit-Dhawan partnership, but used his variations well to keep it to 52 runs in 9 Overs.

10. Mohammed Amir: 1/10

Conceded 41 runs in 5 without taking a wicket as his poor form continued.

11. Shaheen Afridi: 5/10

Unlucky with the ball but was impressive with the ball. The 18-year old certainly has a bright future.
