New Delhi:
The Indian Army on Wednesday attacked the insurgent group National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) (K) on the India-Myanmar border. As per the Indian Army, it had caused heavy casualties on the insurgent group.
The Army informed that while there were many casualties inflicted on NSCN (K) cadre, no casualties suffered by Indian security forces in the operation.
As per the official statement of Indian Army, a column of security forces was fired upon by unidentified insurgents earlier in the day.
Reacting to that, the troops reacted sharply and brought down heavy retaliatory fire on the insurgents. As a result, large number of casualties were suffered by the insurgent group.
